Gorgeous emerald kiwi gems purchased from Magpie's came just in time for this challenge! I love the colors in these green stones. I looked at my copper and just knew what was coming. These are wire wrapped in 3 gauges of wire including the ear wires which I designed a bit longer than normal to cover the area from the front to the back. 18 gauge for the frame and used 22 gauge for the wire wrapping. I looped the tops of both sides and then slipped and wrapped the ear wire piece through the sets of loops to set the hooks in place. These went into the tumbler for a couple of hours to harden them up as the shape wasn't staying the way I designed it to look. They're about 3" long and I think they're fabulous! I wore them on Sunday and of course I wore green to be sure that these were a match for my outfit, little black cap, hair up and all there was to see was these dangling from my lobes and decorating both sides of my neck. They caught the attention of others, that I felt they deserved, and the compliments flowed! Really enjoyed designing these and they're lighter than they look to wear.
